It all started when Anja’s children noticed Christian. They liked that he was tall, didn’t smoke, raised his children on his own, and had a neat appearance. Anja agreed - and soon saw even more in him. His polite, intelligent way of speaking revealed a strength of character that drew her in. Today, the two are in a committed relationship and happily in love.
Before they ever met in person, Anja and Christian spent hours talking. Their open, respectful conversations quickly built a sense of trust and closeness. Anja felt that these talks brought her new insights, a strong connection, and even a sense of peace and freedom.
They chose to meet in Anja’s hometown, far from where they both live now. Anja was so nervous that she forgot where they were going, stumbled over her sentences, and even fought a losing battle with her salad at dinner - something Christian watched with a smile. After a walk, they sat together on a park bench, continuing the lively, thoughtful conversations they had enjoyed over the phone. Then Christian reached for her hand and said: “I would have wanted to take your hand much earlier, but I didn’t want to cause even more confusion.”
Three days later, they met again. From that point on, they saw each other about every two weeks, meeting in towns and hotels halfway between their homes. With each visit, their connection grew stronger and deeper.
For Anja and Christian, it comes down to sharing the same values and outlook on life. Their personal paths had led them to similar life lessons, and they recognized and admired the strength in each other. This mutual respect became the solid ground their relationship stands on today.
Anja and Christian’s journey shows that when two people share values, respect each other, and truly listen, something meaningful can grow. Sometimes, it’s not about rushing - it’s about letting a connection unfold naturally and giving it the space to become something lasting.
